TAD+ is a multivitamin combination that helps the body metabolize macronutrients and maintain healthy skin. B vitamins are involved in hundreds of enzymatic reactions, including the formation of substrates for energy production in the Krebs cycle. Zinc is abundant in the epidermis and is essential for epidermal cell proliferation. Zinc is also essential for the production of retinol-binding protein, which transports vitamin A into cells. Vitamin A has three main roles in the body: 1) it helps maintain the skin's barrier function by increasing epidermal thickness and the number of glycosaminoglycans, polysaccharides that contribute to skin hydration; 2) it helps produce rhodopsin to detect light, especially in low-light environments; and 3) it stimulates immune cell development. Vitamin C contributes to the maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth, and gums through its role in the synthesis of collagen, the main structural protein in connective tissue. Vitamin C also contributes to wound healing and helps maintain good health by preventing free radical damage to DNA.
