Rhodiola rosea, a Siberian herb also known as rhodiola, has been traditionally used for hundreds of years to help reduce mental and physical stress. A recent double-blind, crossover study suggests that rhodiola may help reduce fatigue under stressful conditions and support concentration and short-term memory. Rhodiola promotes the activity of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which play a role in this herb's ability to improve cognitive function, memory, and attention. Animal studies indicate that the extract also appears to maintain healthy adrenal catecholamine activity during stressful episodes. Additionally, Rhodiola rosea has demonstrated the potential to support antioxidant defenses. Rhodiola may be contraindicated for people taking adrenergic or antiarrhythmic medications.
Adults: Take 1 capsule 2 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not take immediately before bedtime.
