• Tasty liquid iron
• Supports red blood cell production and function
• Contains highly bioavailable iron in an easy-to-ingest format
Iron liquid is a convenient and highly available liquid iron formula that contributes to the formation of red blood cells and supports their proper function. Iron is an important component of hemoglobin in red blood cells and myoglobin in muscle cells, where it is necessary for the transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Iron liquid from Pure Encapsulations contains SunActive® Fe, a highly bioavailable, micronized, water-soluble form of iron. Research indicates that the bioavailability of SunActive® Fe iron pyrophosphate is similar to that of ferrous sulfate. In a 16-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted on 122 women, supplementation supported a healthy iron balance, including hemoglobin, ferritin, and transferrin saturation. A blend of cranberry and blueberry extracts gives the formula a delicious flavor. SunActive® Fe is a registered trademark of Taiyo International, Inc.
