Protects against estrogen-related diseases
A phytonutrient found in broccoli
Reduces the synthesis of harmful estrogens
One effective dose of I-3-C per capsule
Indole-3-carbinol (I-3-C) is a phytonutrient found in Brassica vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and cabbage, and is one of the key health-promoting compounds in these foods. Numerous studies using I-3-C to alter the balance of enzymes responsible for estrogen metabolism have met with phenomenal success, with the molecule shown to reduce the synthesis of "bad" estrogens and increase that of "good" estrogens. Human studies in women taking I-3-C have demonstrated a positive shift in estrogen metabolism; I-3-C has been shown to be protective against estrogen dominance. Estrogen dominance has been linked to fibroids, breast tenderness, PMS, endometriosis, and other health problems in women.
Women concerned about safer estrogen metabolism, those with a family history or increased risk of estrogen-dependent cancer, or those with a higher ratio of bad to good estrogen may benefit from this product. I-3-C may also be beneficial for people who want to reap some of the benefits of Brassica vegetables but have difficulty eating them raw.
