HSP Complete 15

Our Complete 15 human strain probiotics provide 7 clinically studied human strains with a potency of 15 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per vegetarian capsule. With a balance of probiotics to target both small and large intestinal flora, we've got you covered. Unlike enteric-coated or delayed-release products, our capsules are designed to target the duodenum and provide maximum gut-brain support when taken with food. HSP Complete 15 is formulated with 2 billion CFU of Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1; a strain clinically shown to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort during travel and lactose intolerance. Additionally, this strain has been shown to regulate bowel habits and stool consistency. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled RCT, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis HN019 has been shown to significantly increase bowel movement frequency in patients who struggle to have fewer than 3 bowel movements per week.

Immune System Benefits

In another trial in adults 70 years and older, HN019 was shown to increase the activity of helper T cells and natural killer cells in patients with a poor immune response.

In a clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of various probiotic strains on immune responses, groups administered Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14 or Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis BL-04 was shown to significantly increase serum IgG compared to controls. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis BL-04 has been shown to reduce the incidence of respiratory tract infections and viral shedding when administered during rhinovirus infection and supplemented with the probiotic strain for an additional 28 days.

In another double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 465 healthy adults, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis BL-04 (at a dose of 2 billion CFU) was more effective than placebo and a multi-strain probiotic (19% vs. 27% reduction) in reducing the incidence of respiratory tract infections and improving immunity.

Metabolic Benefits

Chronic diseases such as obesity and hypertension are modifiable cardiometabolic risk factors that are highly predictive of hospitalization. Our HSP probiotics were formulated to address inflammatory biomarkers, high cholesterol, and elevated BMI commonly seen in individuals with reduced immune function. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 32 overweight and obese women, our HSP strains were found to be significantly correlated with BMI, weight, fat mass, lean mass, taper index, protein intake, monounsaturated fat intake, glycated hemoglobin, TNF-α, and IL6/IL10. HSP bifidobacteria strains also demonstrated specific cholesterol-absorbing properties, leading to a decrease in serum total cholesterol and LDL-C.
