HMF Forte is a combination of four proprietary human-source probiotic strains that support gastrointestinal health in adults and children. This product is a blend of two strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60 and CUL-21), Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34) and Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20), strains that promote colonization of the small and large intestines. These proprietary strains were chosen for their superior quality, viability, strong epithelial adherence, and naturally high tolerance to stomach acid. Clinical studies have also been conducted to evaluate their efficacy; they are among the most studied probiotic cultures in the world. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 138 adults, supplementation with the probiotic combination in HMF Forte was found to reduce the incidence of diarrhea associated with C. difficile in adults taking antibiotics. In addition to this research-based probiotic blend, HMF Forte also contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS), a type of prebiotic fiber that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestines. Adults: Take 2 capsules daily with a meal, at least 2 to 3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
