Bach flower Gorse is found on gorse, a shrub that grows throughout Europe, but also in the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand. Thanks to its density, its thorns, and its small, protective, scale-like leaves, gorse quickly becomes impenetrable.
Bach flower Gorse can bloom as early as autumn, bringing color as the winter solstice approaches. Indeed, it has luminous golden-yellow petals, which can give off a very pleasant scent when they soak up the sun. Its small flowers, formed of five unequal petals resembling butterflies, continue to bloom until spring, resisting the vagaries of the weather no matter what. They are found in great abundance from March to June, illuminating the roadsides with the arrival of fine weather. Known for its beauty and strength, gorse is also nicknamed Breton gold and has become the official emblem of Brittany, while its flower has been designated the national flower of Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain.
