EPA/DHA essentials contains pure, microfiltered fish oil concentrate that supports cardiovascular and cognitive health. EPA and DHA from fish oil promote cardiovascular health by helping to lower serum triglycerides, maintain healthy blood flow, and support healthy platelet function. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 223 subjects demonstrated that fish oil supplementation promotes healthy arterial function. Additionally, studies indicate that these oils help preserve blood vessel integrity. Omega-3 fatty acids are also important components of neuronal cell membranes and are essential for cognitive function. EPA/DHA essentials was tested for the presence of environmental contaminants (heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins, and furans) and microbial contaminants, as well as signs of oxidation and rancidity. The results were well below the strict limits established for these criteria by the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the European Pharmacopoeia, and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP).
Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily with a meal, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
