The majority of urinary tract infections (UTIs) are caused by E. coli, a bacterium that attaches to D-mannose residues found on receptors on urinary tract cells. Supplementing with D-mannose, a sugar residue, provides another binding site for the bacteria, which, once bound, are easily eliminated from the body. D-Mannose has earned a reputation for relieving urinary tract infections exceptionally quickly, in most cases within 24-48 hours.
UTI Management contains D-mannose combined with cranberry juice extract, which can be used in high doses to treat UTIs caused by E. coli without the need for ongoing antibiotics. This product can also be used in lower doses to combat recurrence.
