Adreno Calm is a calming combination of L-theanine, phosphatidylserine, and plant extracts. L-theanine is an amino acid found almost exclusively in tea, which temporarily promotes relaxation. It quickly passes from the gut into the bloodstream where it is transported to important organs, including the brain. By influencing the release of neurotransmitters, including dopamine, GABA, and serotonin, L-theanine effectively promotes a relaxed state. Clinical research shows that a 200 mg dose of L-theanine significantly increases alpha waves in the brain within 30 minutes of ingestion, indicating a relaxed and alert mental state. L-theanine has been shown to promote relaxation when taken at rest, after performing stressful mental tasks, and after strenuous physical activity tests. Phosphatidylserine is a naturally occurring component of cell membranes that promotes normal cellular communication and membrane fluidity. Adreno Calm also includes standardized extracts of magnolia and somnolent cohosh, which are herbs used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, respectively.
